Yesterday I drove home early in the morning from staying at a friends house when my dad and stepmom stopped me in my tracks as soon as i got in the door and said we are going to get a puppy in an hour. I was so shocked because it was super random - we already have a dog a cat - but apparently they have been talking about this for a while and want to get my other dog, Motley, a “friend”. So they woke up, looked at Kijiji and fell in love with this tiny, 8 week old Chihuahua and oh so spontaneously decided they were going to buy it. Not that I am complaining… he is so adorable and loves to cuddle. The owner had 3 puppies, the one we bought being the last one. When he handed the pup to me, he got all teared up while his kids were bawling their eyes out in the backseat of their car. It was heartbreaking to see how sad they were, so we decided to name him John Porter (JP for short) after the kind man we bought him from.
